Memes make the internet go around, for better or worse. They communicate what we're thinking, they give us pause for a laugh or a quiet sob at our desks in the middle of an endless Wednesday at work. And, if you are Jerry Media, they make you millions of dollars by becoming the cornerstone of an adult card game that tests what we all know about internet memes.

That’s because adult card game What Do You Meme? has been, on average, the best-selling product at Amazon ($AMZN) for two months running. That means it's beating out category stalwarts Cards Against Humanity, Jenga, and Connect 4.

Here at Thinknum, we track best-selling products at Amazon by category. For the months of December 2017 and January 2018, What Do You Meme? Averaged spot 1.38 in December and performed even better in January at an average sales ranking spot of 1.06. That means that the adult card game has been the best-selling Toys & Games product at Amazon almost every day since December 1, 2017.

So what is What Do You Meme?

If you’ve ever played other adult party games like Cards Against Humanity or Exploding Kittens, you have an idea of What Do You Meme? is all about. In short, it’s a card game that gets more raucus the more you drink or stay up into the latter hours of the evening with some good friends.

The game is simple: it’s a deck of cards that asks players to “create the funniest meme by pairing Caption Cards with the Photo Card in play.” A judge then decides which one was the funniest. It’s strictly adults only and rewards those in the know of internet memes.

What Do You Meme? began as a kickstarter campaign created by social media comedy brand Fuckjerry. At the time, the founders were curating hugely popular Instagram and Twitter accounts filled with - you guessed it - memes. The kickstarter campaign, with an original goal of just $10,000, raised over $229,000.

And, as the data shows, What Do You Meme? has gone on to be a seemingly endless best-seller on the world’s largest e-commerce site. It's selling so well that the company now sells expansion packs including "Basic Bitch", "Stoner", and "Fresh Memes".

Talk about your quiet giant.
